About this product
This Ping youth iron set includes clubs 6, 7, and SW with a Youth flex shaft, designed for young beginners moving from the tee to the green. Right-handed only, this partial set focuses on essential irons to develop fundamental skills without overwhelming a new player. At $45.00, it's an affordable entry point into the game for junior golfers, though the limited set makeup may require supplemental clubs for a full course experience.
Our take
I picked up this Ping youth iron set for my son who is just getting into golf. For the price, it's hard to beat having a solid 6-iron, 7-iron, and sand wedge from a trusted brand. The Youth flex shafts are appropriately soft for his swing speed, and the clubs feel light and forgiving. That said, three clubs aren't enough for a full round—you'll need a driver, fairway wood, and putter to really play. But as a starter set for the range or practice, it does the job. The sand wedge is a nice addition for learning bunker play. Overall, a practical and budget-friendly way to get a young golfer started.
