About this product
This PING Thrive junior iron set includes 3 right-handed clubs: a 6-iron, 8-iron, and wedge. The clubs have stainless steel blade heads and graphite shafts. Standard lie angle. Made in the USA. At $99.99, it's a targeted set focusing on mid-irons and a wedge. Suitable for juniors who already have a driver and putter.
Our take
I bought this Thrive set to supplement my child's bag. The graphite shafts are nice and light, and the clubs feel quality. However, only three clubs for $100 feels expensive per club. The blade head shape might not be the most forgiving. My child already had a driver and putter, so this filled a gap. If you need a full set, this isn't it. The set makeup is odd—6 and 8 iron plus a wedge—skipping 7 and 9. For practice or specific needs, it works, but consider other options for a complete starter set.
