Our take
I upgraded to the Ping G30 irons and noticed improved distance thanks to the CF5 shafts. The set covers 4 iron through UW, which is versatile. The black dot standard lie works well for my swing. The G30s offer good forgiveness on off-center hits. However, the strong lofts can cause gapping issues, especially between PW and UW. Also, the price is a bit high for a previous generation model. For a mid-handicapper seeking distance and forgiveness, these are a solid investment.
